Medical Hope for Syria Benefit

The Details

International Society for Peace and Human Rights, Health Partners International, The Waverley Hotel, and friends of the Comox Valley unite on November 30th, 2013, raising money for medical supplies that will be sent directly to refugee camps.

Come out and dance, bid on silent auction items from local artists and businesses, and show your support. Dr Saren Azer of St. Joseph’s Hospital will speak on behalf of the organization, giving us insight into the magnitude of the situation. Over six million refugees, seventy-five percent of them women and children. Of that, fifty percent are children under ten. In today’s world, it may seem impossible to make a difference, but in this case supplies will be going directly to where they are needed most. We may not be able to stop the war but we can help repair the damage.

Admission is by donation, with an encouraged minimum donation of five dollars. Want to know how the money is being spent? One hundred percent of proceeds will be used to purchase medical supplies, and every dollar raised will be matched by a private donor. ALSO for every dollar we raise, Health Partners International will match with ten dollars in medical supplies.

Featuring DJ Souls, Butterfinger Bombsquad, JPrime, Klame, and Cameron Gunn.
