Frazey Ford

The root of all soul music is freedom-sheer abandon. It’s about luxuriating in the emotions that make us all human. No wonder singer Frazey Ford placed her ear to the earth and tapped into that lush tradition to give voice to her own stories on Indian Ocean, an album about pain and dealing with tough truths but also about trust, love contrition and being bold. Ford’s self-possession and passion puts flesh to the musical bones.

Gritty singer-songwriter Steph Cameron has been added as support for Frazey.  A one-time travelling musician and busker, Steph Cameron’s musical beginnings can be traced to hitching train rides across the country, singing for her supper and channelling a raw punk energy inspired by life on the road. Cameron is now based in Saskatoon, and has two releases to her name, Sad-Eyed Lonesome Lady (2014) and Daybreak Over Jackson Street (2017).
